For your first day—and your first connection

See the landmarks.
Feel at home in the city.

You bring your curiosity. We bring a local perspective, a thoughtfully planned route and someone who notices when you want another story, a photograph or a moment to sit.

01 / A PERSON, NOT JUST A PLAN

Your kind of City Host.

Tell us what you love. We recommend three personally matched Hosts for you to choose from, then shape the conversation around your interests.

02 / THE CITY, FROM EVERY ANGLE

River level to the skyline.

The Bund on foot, a local ferry across the Huangpu, and Shanghai Tower’s 118th-floor observatory. See how the pieces fit together.

03 / A MEMORY YOU MAKE

A little of Shanghai, in your own lines.

A bridge, a clock tower, your favourite dish. Simple sketches become a personal map to take home. No drawing experience needed.

The thoughtful details

Someone to connect
the day for you.

Your Host turns a beautiful view into a story you can follow. They help you choose lunch, explain what is on the menu and show you how to capture a landmark in a few easy strokes.

  • Before you meet: share your interests, dietary needs and preferred walking pace.
  • Along the way: enjoy local stories, photo pauses and planned vehicle connections.
  • Before you leave: finish your map with a personal note from your Host and ideas for tomorrow.

Your day, step by step

Two riverbanks.
A thousand first impressions.

A considered balance of walking, a river crossing, private car connections and time to enjoy what you find.

A welcome. A bridge.
The waterfront.

Meet at People’s Square and open your welcome sketch kit. A short drive brings you to the historic waterfront. Walk via Rockbund and Waibaidu Bridge, then follow the Bund past the Peace Hotel, Customs House and Shiliupu.

A taste of the city
at BFC.

Settle into a prearranged lunch chosen with your preferences in mind. Your Host helps you understand the flavours. Afterwards, add your first bridge and clock-tower sketches to the map.

Cross the Huangpu.
Look back at your morning.

Walk to Fuxing East Road Ferry and cross to Dongchang Road. On the Pudong riverbank, find the buildings you have just explored, then walk towards Shanghai Tower.

Shanghai, from
118 floors up.

At Shanghai Tower’s observatory, the river becomes a ribbon and your morning walk becomes part of a much bigger picture. We arrange admission ahead; the time window includes entry, lifts and your visit.

Coffee. A pencil.
Your skyline.

Walk to Blue Bottle at IFC for your included drink. With a few simple shapes and your Host’s encouragement, turn the skyline into a memory on paper. Then meet your private car.

Small lanes.
A personal goodbye.

Drive to Xintiandi and explore its shikumen lanes. Finish your map, choose your favourite moment and receive your farewell keepsake and Host’s handwritten message. Depart around 17:40 for your confirmed central-hotel drop-off.

This is a sample day, starting at People’s Square at 10:00. We confirm meeting arrangements and your hotel transfer before you travel. Ferry service, weather, traffic and observation-deck queues may change the timing; advance tickets do not mean queue-free entry. Tell us if you prefer less walking.

Your signature keepsake

You won’t just follow a map.
You’ll bring it to life.

Begin with the river and a few lines. Add a bridge after the Bund, a tower over coffee, and a doorway in Xintiandi. What you notice makes it yours.

A few things you may be wondering

Come curious.
We’ll help with the rest.

Do I need to be able to draw?

Not at all. Your Host shows you how to build a landmark from a few lines, circles and triangles. There is no finished picture to copy perfectly. You can also write observations or mark your favourite places.

Is this a private experience?

Yes. Your party shares one Host and one itinerary. After we learn about your visit and your deposit is verified, we recommend three Hosts for you to choose from, subject to availability.

How much walking is involved?

This is an active city day, with a substantial waterfront walk and shorter walks in Pudong and Xintiandi. Car connections link selected sections. Tell us about mobility needs before booking so we can agree a comfortable version and confirm access.

What if the ferry stops or the skyline is hidden by cloud?

We check operating conditions and discuss practical alternatives with you. Visibility at the observatory depends on weather. Changes to reserved tickets follow the terms confirmed for your booking.

Can you accommodate dietary needs and children?

Please share allergies, dietary needs and children’s ages in advance. We coordinate the lunch choice and confirm what the restaurant can accommodate. Child seats and vehicle requirements must also be agreed before the day.

What happens when I start a reservation?
